I'm new to this Blog posting, and because I hadn't flicked on "follow" my post wasn't being accepted. Let's see if I have it right and see this reply in print. Hoping you and the family are doing well.
We after receiving the death file proved there was not follow up at all by the investigator Roger Gentry.
They were lying to the AG's office and we were constantly catching them hiding photo's and removing and placing things in the death file that would one time be there the next time it would be gone.
I think in the end it was only harassment and the AG's office went along with it all.
Then you know as a parent that has been lied to over and over you just cannot trust them.

BE IT KNOWN, on the 29th day of September, 2000, an inquest hearing in the death investigation of Steven Curtis Jones, II was held to determine the cause and manner in which he died. Steven Curtis Jones, II was found died on June 20, 2000 outside a residence on CR 3722 in Queen City, Texas.

CAME UNTO me this day, Officer Larry Fleet a person known to ne and upon oath swears as follows: I Larry Fleet, am over 18 years of age, I have personal knowledge of the facts asserted below, and I am compendent to testify to those facts and state under oath that the following statements are true and correct. I am a peace officer under the laws of the state of Texas and I am employed as the Chief of police in Lone Star, Texas. Previously, I was employed as an investigator for the Ark-La-Tex Narcotics Task Force until March of 2001. I do herby state and acknowledg that under authority of chapter 59 of the Texas code of Criminal Procedure, a sertin property at Rt. 1 Box 111, Queen City Texas and more fully decribe in Exhibit "A" has been sized. It is this officers belief that the has been continously used in the manurfacture and distribution of methamphetamine, a feloney under Sec.481 of the Health and Safety Code. I do further stateunder oath my factual and legal reasons for seizuer of said property as follows:An investigation of Sam Rich was initiated in april of 1999, as he was suspected in the manurfacture and distribution of methamphemine. Survellance of his above decribed property began in October of 1999, continued for approximately 20 days. The sureveillance showed constant traffic into and out of the residence. During this time approximately 30 known or suspected methamphetamine users, and numerous others, were videotaped at his residence. Said individuals would drive up approach Mr. Rich and leave a short time later. Included in the veidos are four individuals who have died from methamphetamine overdoses in Cass County since the tapes were made. On May 3, 2001, Craig Holman a jail prisoner awaiting manurfacturing charges testified before the Cass County Grand Jury. He told, in detail, of his involvment with Sam Rich in the manurfactur of methamphetamine. Specifically, Holman stated that starting in 1999, Ram Rich would supply him with all the materials needed for manufacture of meth, such as sudafed, red phosphorus, iodine, etc. Holman would cook the meth and split the product. T his process took place at the Rich residence. Cooks took place around every two weeks for a year. The operation moved when Sam Rich began to suspect that he was under surveillance. However, Sam Rich continued to use his residence to distribute the supplies and cemicals to Holman. On January 15,2001, Richard Presley and Joice Huggans also testified in frount of rhe Grand Jury. This testimony involved their involvement in meth manufacture in Cass County. They testified that in exchange for finished product, they let Holman and Rich use their house for a cook. They also transported the materials and supplies necessary for the cook from the Rich residence, and they did this at the request of Sam Rich. During the surveilance of the Rich property, DPS Narcotis out of texarkana placed a pen register on the Rich phone line to his residence in Queen City. The register showed an abnormal amount of incoming and outgoing calls to the residence. There were literally hundreds of phone calls during the peak times of the day, indicative of narcotis trafficking at the residence. On June 24, 2000, Steven Jones was found dead on the Rich property. Autopsy reports reveal that Mr. Jones died of a methamphetamine overdose. Steven Jones was known to frequent the the Sam Rich residence and work for him. At inquest into his death, Sam Rich testified he saw Steven Jones inject himself with methamphetmine shortly before he died. This happend at the Rich residence. Signed by: Larry Fleet

The above arrest affidavit should show something that could have put a stop to all of this to a point. (Steven Jones was known to frequent the Sam Rich residence and work for him.) We wanted the trurh. We wanted to know if Steven was a part of the cooking of the meth. I had a reason for wanting to know. The reason was to try to release the feelings that Steven could have just been out and out murdered.
As many know, Sam Rich told me in front of witness's he killed Steven and he didn't give a "f". Was he just screwed up on meth? Or did he mean it?
I think after dealing with Sheriff Paul Boone it was really plain to see.
No one cared and they didn't mind making it known to all.

We again have to remember. Steven was RIGHT handed. He was injected in his RIGHT arm.
People who have no reason to move from a arm that has been bruised from injection would not chance bruising a dominate arm.

Now I'm back to posting properly Elle.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how much you know about Steven's death or how much you have read.
There has been soo much through out the last nine years.
The main thing we always wanted was only the truth.
We got lies.
The AG office knew we were being lied to and they didn't do one thing to help.
In the end after all we proved of the neglect and the fact there was not a alibi.
The alibi lied on the stand during a inquest.
We were able to use the caller ID to place Kim Shope in places on a number of different phones.
NOT with Sam Rich.
There was evidence in the deat file that proved they knew Steven was dead long before he was called in to 911.
Some of this I can locate and get you lined out on.
